It would be nice to have a USB thing that doesn't eat up a lot of system resources, since my laptop only has a 1.73Ghz Centrino. It looks like the OnAir USB HDTV GT tuner is promising but I'd like to hear some inputs from y'all!

I have a pinnacle HDTV pro stick and it works great. About the size of a flash drive. Has OTA and QAM support. For normal TV watching, I recommend using WatchHDTV instead of the bloated Pinnacle software. Your laptop will need a decent vid chip to output HD 1080p however.

What kind of CPU do you have? I just bought a WinTV-HVR 850 from CC for 50 dollars and I'm afraid that my laptop might not be able to run it....
