USB Gravis Eliminator Problem

Hi there. I have a Gravis Eliminator Gamepad Pro USB which I really love... BUT I'm having a problem with it. I play a lot of NHL2003 lately, in which the Eliminator performs well unless I put the game on pause and go AFK for 10 minutes. When I come back and take the game off pause the gamepad is all fubar. I can *see* an hourglass mouse icon displayed over the game as if Windows is loading something, the game is a little choppy for 5 seconds or so, then the gamepad works but is out of calibration. It usually angles to the top right. If I unplug it and re-seat it sometimes it resets, sometimes I have to reboot.

Anyone know what's going on? Is my USB port going to sleep and having trouble re-initiallizing? What could it be?

Any thoughts?

I play NHL2k3 with Gravis Eliminator too, and I have no problem with it, I think that you
need to disable screen saver, and power management, and all the energy saving feature
on your computer, use ALWAY ON option. In additon, what video card are you using, if
you are using Ti4200 then change the AGP drive value to EA to make it more stable,
hopely that will solve your problem.
