I took a guess that it belongs in this section. I'm in the market for 2 USB game pads i recently got introduced to the world of emulators and here i am. looking for 2 . I've heard the mixed reviews on the logitech dual actions ones. they look like ps2 ones which i like. because ps2 is like the only controller that feels great. anyone have to recommendations on it thanks a lot

Take a look at the Thrustmaster Firestorm series here ,I`m using an older USB Firestorm dual power gamepad ,but find it excellent in general use with 13 buttons, force feedback etc...

i've heard about the firestorm controllers but not much. i like the dual actions. most likely i would be getting 2 for the comp. right now i can pick up 2 logitechs for about 25$ shiped on ebay. but i just got mixed reviews i've seen the controller in person. its great but the build quaitlly might be the big issues.

I`ve had my Firestorm gamepad for about 3 years now,all I can say is the build quality is awesome.

I like the Gravis Gamepad Pro.
Its just like the basic playstation controller (no analogs) and its low-priced with good quality. I can run all my emulated games fine along with the PC versions of FF7, FF8 and Grandia 2.

About a year ago I bought four different gamepads to use with emulated games: Gravis GamePad Pro, Gravis Eliminator GamePad Pro, Logitech Dual Action, and one other I don't remember.
The Eliminator GamePad Pro does not have a solid feel to the directional pad. It's hard to keep it going the direction you want to go, because it's a 360-degree pad rather than the old 8-way pads.
The regular GamePad Pro is the easiest to use, IMO. Definitely my favorite of the four I bought, and I only bought ones that felt decent to begin with.
Logitech Dual Action is also a good pad. My only gripe with it is that the default directional controller is the mini stick below the D-pad, so emulators will ignore the D-pad altogether. There's a software switch you can get to change that behavior so that the D-pad becomes the default directional controller, but it never worked for me. Of course, the D-pad on this one is good, and if you like the mini sticks then this is probably a good controller for you.

i like the analog sticks a lot. But i want to use both the same but i would need the analogs for system i'm running. because of the number of buttons on the regulat i would need a dual action aleast. i guess the logitech is the way to go then since its on the cheap side.

i have two gamersfactory game pads from bestbuy, each for 9.99$. They are shaped EXACTLY like a PS2 controller, and i used them while playing emulated PSX games.

I heard this was good but this isn't. There are mixed reviews. I also heard Saitek has some good ones, but I can't decide on which one to buy out of all of them.

The Saitek P3000 is a phat controller. It's somewhat similar to the PS2 controller only it has 6 buttons on the right side as opposed to 4. I found this useful b/c it perfectly emulates the N64 controller which is useful for N64 roms. I also found that it works great w/ other games and it has plenty of buttons...enough to satisfy even me. I recommend this one.
