USB Flash Drive

Does anyone know if a USB flash drive can be formatted and then booted from? I currently have an ASUS P4P800-E Deluxe MB - can it be done with my MB?

the answer is yes it is possible, but the MB needs to support booting to USB devices, ie cdrom/floppy. The drive will need to be partitioned, the partition made active and the OS loaded, doesnt sound difficult, and if all support is present it really isnt, but if the hardware support doesnt exist, it is impossible. I believe there is a tool on the hp website, i read about it... here i found the website it was on, it has links, and a discussion on this
