USB Flash drive...with integrated cpu

Hi,

I am in desperate need of a USB flash drive WITH an integrated cpu. Most do not have this cpu. This integrated cpu enables me to run programs from my removable usb hard drive.

Does anyone here know of another manufacturer of a USB flash drive with an integrated cpu? The only plave I have found one is a DiskOnKey.com. The reason I do not like this manufacturer is that I will keep this flash drive on my key ring. On the diskonkey drive, the cap is what the keyring connect to, so if it came off I would loose the drive and the cap would remain on the key ring.

Any other manufacturers of a USB flash drive with integrated cpu would be greatly appreciated.

Integrated CPU?

Perhaps you mean a USB Flash drive that has a built in controller so it doesn't need any addtional drivers.... In that case then ALL the USB flash drives out there are like this. As long as they are used on a WinME and higher machine no drivers are required. Just plug it in and it shows up as a drive that you can install and run programs from.

Here is a clip from the TechTV site

Since their appearance a couple of years ago, USB-based Flash memory solutions come in two flavors.

With integrated CPU
Without CPU

Pairing a CPU with a Flash memory chip opens interesting possibilities, including the ability to run applications directly from the storage device. Even without a CPU, having up to a gigabyte of relatively rugged storage that can interface with nearly any computer out there makes these USB-based Flash drives a must-have for users on the go

But thanks for your help. I looked around some more and I found one that has an integrated cpu and connects to a keyring at the base of the drive not at the cap of the drive.

Thanks again,
