USB Flash Drive and Restriction Software

So I have a SanDisk 512mb Cruzer Micro flash drive, and I use it constantly to hold notes, papers, etc for school. The problem is at my university, a lot of the computers have restriction software that limits access, specifically right clicking most things. This is a problem when I try to safely eject my flash drive. I can't right click the system tray icon, and I can't go into My Computer and try to eject it from there. Is there another way to safely eject it while getting around that software, or is it something I shouldn't worry about?
 
yeah pulling it out should be fine, i would make sure that its not being used while doing it though, I have a USB drive that has an LED light on it, and I make sure that the light isn't blinking before I pull it out. Just be careful its not being used at all, like a document is left open or something, because that would probably be a bad thing...
 
Depending on the default write-cache policy for the drives, it may be safe under XP, if they left it configured for the default of "quick removal" (write-cache disabled) for that device. In W2K - I wouldn't use it at all, it's totally unsafe, and you could lose everything that is stored on it.
 
Right click? I always use 'press left buttom and hold' until a message pops out confirming me to remove the flash drive.

If that doesn't work, you can always shutdown the machine and remove your flash.
