Does anyone have any information on USB External Drive Bay enclosures? I cannot find any reviews on this type of product so I am somewhat skeptical. I found this one here:

http://www.memorylabs.net/ad2535exen.html

that looks pretty good, but I cannot find any reviews for ones that use USB. This would seem to be a pretty good idea to have an external drive bay that you can switch out hard drives, CD or DVD writers etc. Instead of buying one that is external only that would cost you $50 more.

The reason I am looking into this is to have a DVD drive for my desktop and my laptop that I can travel with if needed. Does anyone know of a better alternative to getting this USB enclosure with a standard internal DVD drive totalling somewhere around $90.

Thanks in advance.

Look on the search Engines for reviews as I have seen quite a few...I use external 5 1/4's (firewire and USB2.0) for HD's CDRW's and DVD/DVDRW's...all work fine here and 1 is what you linked to and other has the firewire connect included

Cool thanks, I will check them out. I did a search but could not find one with USB only, especially for $40.

Thanks!
