USB extension cables for mouse/keyboard?

My new setup will involve my case being a few meters away from the desk, which can only hold the monitor. Has anyone ever tried extending the USB cables of their mice / keyboards?

Yeah, as long as you've got quality cable on each, should be fine. I extended to a hub (powered) and it worked fine.

Yes, keyboard and mouse should be 0 problem

If you were trying to extend say the DVI for your LCD i would be concerned about noise.
