1. Clean installed Win XP Pro on system.
2. Built Ghost Image based on above system.
3. Ghosted 8 systems from above image
4. Random systems wont allow USB flash drives to be installed under a user level profile.

Some systems will install it right as it's plugged in with no intervention from the user.

What am I missing?

After you clean installed Win XP, did you use the mobo CD to put the chipset drivers back on? Those CDs sometimes also have USB drivers on them in the Utilities section.

EDIT: Also check the BIOS to see that they are enabled.

It seems to be tied to the machine. I tried 2 diff flash drives, diff brand and each time, prompted for admin PW. Once installed though they work, but I cant run around to each machine with every type of drive.

This is crazy!
