usb controller initializing hangs in bios

hi
well got my dream set up and i have a asus p5ld2 deluxe and when booting into the bios i cannot even use the keyboard/ sometimes it goes into setup(when i push delete 1000 times) and gets stuck at initializing usb controllers called asus they claim its my ram i have corsair value select ddr2 533 ram however i believe its the board getting new board and supported ram but now have t0o wait almost a week for it. tryed a million things resting the drivers unpluging things one at time ect.... what do you guys think :(

Yeah, USB peripherals usually have a hard time in BIOs...mine don't work when I'm installing Windows. I have both my keyboard and mouse on PS/2 though, it's more stable and there's absolutely no speed difference in the two.

yes but i couldnt even get windows to install i think my board is dead defective or i have unsupported ram

Sooo..it still hangs while using the PS/2 slots? Hmm...sounds like bad USBs to me, I doubt it's the ram (although it could be). I wish I could understand what you said in your OP, that would really help.

ok i bulit my computer and then when it first booted i couldnt use the keyboard a ps2 one
then after a few tries it went into setup and got stuck at the part where the computer tryes to load the usb controller initializing
thats after the video card cpu and ram check so i couldnt do anything thsu dead motherboard
