I've got a weird problem and would appreciate any help🙂 I've got a Dell Inspiron 8600 laptop with 2 usb ports. They both worked fine until last week or so.
The computer doesn't detect when something is plugged into it. I have to unplug and plug back my mouse many times before the computer detects it in the port. I've tried different mice also so I know that isn't the problem.
I also have one of those "night" lights or whatever you call 'em that plug into the USB port and that always works. I can switch back and forth and the light works but the mouse doesn't.
I don't believe I've changed any settings lately that could affect the laptop in this way so I'm stumped.
