Question USB-C switch with NVMe

Trying to get a Win10 and Win11 machine to see each other’s drives is a pain. So, I am thinking of another way to get the content on the 10 machine to the 11 machine. A NVME drive in a USB-C docking station connected to a USB-C switch connected to both machines. Switch to 10 machine. Copy data to drive. Switch to 11 machine and copy from drive. Looking to use a 20 Gbps switch.

What say y’all?

Well, I tried it. Got a couple of errors. Implies a device disappeared. Will try to determine if it is the source port, the switch or the enclosure.

I'm probably missing something, but are these two computers on the same network? If so, I'm thinking you could set up shared folders, or maybe even share entire drives?
