Usb-c otg cable question

1. Dont trust The Verge on anything.
2. Any usb c cable you buy on amazon that has 4* reviews should work for you
3. Yes they are dumb devices but if you buy a cable from the dollar store you will likely get one with very low amperage that has a hard time charging your device and carrying data consistently, more so for long ones; so dont buy supercheap stuff.
