Hey, so I have a MacBook Pro 2015, which only has USB 3.0 ports. Let's say theoretically I had an external monitor with USB-C ports. If I connected the MacBook to an external monitor using HDMI or DisplayPort, would I be able to use those USB-C ports on the monitor for peripherals or would those not be supported on my laptop? I'm not sure if it would work or not. Thanks!

Technically possible over DP, unlikely to be supported. It really works the other way. USB C carries displayport.
