usb and a sound card

this may sound like I am a rookie but...I have a asus xonor sound card and am wondering if the new 7.1 headset (which is USB) I just purchased will work properly?
 
The USB headset will NOT use the soundcard... it's as if you don't even have it.

The headset will use its own USB digital-to-analog converter for sound. You may need to specifically choose it as an output, instead of your regular soundcard.
 
as an update....after installing the software you do only have to change the audio out option to USB while gaming. Just change back to your original to use speakers. Pretty straight forward.
