I recently purchased a WD Essential External HDD with USB 3.0 interface.

I never used the USB 3.0 feature before on this motherboard, so I installed the latest NEC/Renesis driver and make sure the USB 3 feature is enabled in BIOS, and it showed up fine in device manager. But I can't seem to get it to work. Everytime I connect the drive, it said "it could perform faster if connected to usb 3.0 interface" or something like that..

Anyone can help?

Thx for the advice

You may need to flash your bios to the latest patch.
I have no problem with mine (using 2 WD ext drives, all usb3.0)

Thx for the reply, got it working somehow lol.. I reinstall the driver and it all works fine.. But 3.0 speed is not what I'm expecting tho'.. about 2-3 times faster than 2.0.. oh well, cut a few hours into an hour..not bad.
