USB 3.1 100 watts

Are current implementation of usb 3.1 by motherboard manufactures capable of delivering 100 watts output?

5 volts isnt a very efficient way to transmit that much power. You're much better off using 12V. What do you have that needs 100W at 5 volts?

I wonder how thick those 100 watt usb cables are going to be, some cheap cables can barely do 10 watts.
