I'd like to know what devices that use USB2 are capable of reading (let alone writing) at those speeds.

50 megabits/s isn't that hard to believe actually, that's only 6MB/s ?


50 MB per second, and I'm calling shenanigans. the fastest I've EVER seen a flash key go is only 12MB/s and even then, little fishy.

maybe you just got tricked by windows being stupid and delaying the window draw? it could have been transferring for several seconds before you actually saw the window.

so we're talking > 15MB/s ... I'll let you go on that considering it's been about a year since I last tested a batch of flash drives and they might have improved it somehow because IT is crazy like that.

Kingston is up to around 19-20 MB/s.
