Hi all.. I have a setup for my TV and Kinect where I plug in the Kinect to a USB cable and it goes through the wall, and into my Xbox. The problem is, the signal seems degraded and the Kinect functions really slowly. I'm guessing that the length is kind of killing it.

Any ideas? I read about USB repeaters, but I'm not sure how good they are, so I'm all ears!

Thanks!

I helped a friend with a similar problem (scanner not Kinnect) -- the fix was to replace one long cable with a powered USB hub and 2 shorter cables.

A powered USB hub means one where you've plugged a "wall wart" AC adapter in to the hub so it has its own power instead of drawing power from the PC or xbox. You should be able to get one for $10-15 at most, just make sure the hub comes with the AC adapter and it is not just an optional accessory.
