Hi,

I just put together my first system (intel 845 PE w/ XP)and having problems with the USB. I think I connected the front panel USB header pins correctly and I'm not seeing any obvious problems in the Device Manager. 2.0 is enabled in the bios as well as legacy USB.

I can't install the USB 2.0 drivers from the install CD that came with the mobo and I tried unsuccessfully to install a USB printer. I also tried disconnecting the front panel USB and then install the drivers, but that didn't work either.

Anybody have any ideas on what I should check or what might be wrong?

Disable legacy usb (mainly used for kybrd & mice) in bios . Get update drv from intel.
