USB 2.0 PCMCIA cards

I'm looking for user experiences with USB 2.0 PCMCIA cards. I recently bought an I/O Flex model 2002-2A for use with a laptop and a high speed USB 2.0 CD-RW drive. Much to my disappointment, the only device that seems to have a problem is the USB CD-RW drive! It reads fine, and the USB 2.0 ports work fine with USB 2.0 hard disks, but Nero and CDRWIN hang when starting to write a CD at any speed through the ports on this card. I've tried two drives and two different brands of laptop, so I'm pretty sure it's really the drive. I can record up to 8x through the USB 1.1 ports on either of the laptops, so the only link in the chain is this stinkin' PCMCIA card! 🙂

My quest is for a USB 2.0 PCMCIA card that someone is actually using with a CD-RW USB 2.0 drive and preferrably Nero software. My ears are open and I'm eagerly awaiting responses. 🙂
