I have a brand new usb 2.0 80 gig drive i want to use with my windows 2000 server, when i plug it in it gets detected. But when i open my computer i don't see it in
list. Iv reinstalled the driver several times, tried different usb ports. Any help here would be appreciated.

Thanks

Right click on my computer, choose management, then disk management- see if it's listed there. It may take a minute or two to show up sometimes. If it shows up in disk management mmc, then you need to go to device manager, find it in that list, right click on it, go to properties and somewhere in there, there should be a switch to tell it that this is a removeable media.
