I have the drive set to burn at 24x (more or less, cav and clv permitting) on my desktop. i have also done so on my laptop with a cardbus usb 2.0 controller. So i decided to see what would happen if I put a usb 1.1 hub between the two devices... Well...
IT DOES BURN... but for the love of god... USB 1.1 hubs cannot be used at 2.0 speeds, at least this one cant... WHY you may ask... cuz my buffer empties every second LMAO... since this is a mitsumi drive, it's buffer-underrun protection is called exaclink (sp?)... actually, a 680MB file has been taking 10 mins to burn, and its barely over 50% done. I had nero set at 24x btw...
