USB 2.0 CD-RW Drive...any personal experience?

I'm thinking of asking for and getting (yeah, my fiancee spoils me as I do her) the Pacific Digital 16x10x40 External USB 2.0 CD-RW drive from Staples for Christmas. Anyone have personal experience with that setup? I've never heard of Pacific Digital too much and it's been tough to find reviews on this particular drive also, but I've partially gathered that the drive itself is most likely a Lite-on drive with a different name stamped on it. Also, Staples is offering a deal where there's a $70 MIB for a 3-piece Altec Lansing speaker set, which I am also badly in need of for my system. My main concern is the CD-RW drive though and it's performance.
