USB 2.0 card Questions?

I have purchased an Ipod, and you need USB 2.0 to use it. I know I don't have USB 2.0. But i was wondering in the USB card, there is an Internal connection besides the PCI connection. Now what is that internal connection for and does one need to use that to use the Card itself, or is the PCI connection enough??

Also do you need a version of the PCI drivers(2.1, 2.2, etc), to beable to use the USB 2.0??

I also have this on my PCI USB2.0 card. I'm not quite sure as to why one needs to use this internal connection. My guess is to pass USB2.0 to something on the front of the case? However, I can assure you that you don't need to use it for anything for the rest of the card to work, I never used it for anything.

The internal USB connector is for connecting up to any front USB ports that your case may have or internal devices such as a memory reader. It is not required to have a connection to it for the card to function properly.
