USB 2.0 cable question

I have an audio interface that is powered by a USB 2.0 cable that was included with the unit but the cable is shorter than I need. I have another USB 2.0 cable I can use but it is different than the new one as it has two cylinder shaped attachments at each end. Is it ok to use the one with the two cylinder things? The manual where that particular USB cable came from describes it as being "Cable USB 2.0 with double power connector".

Thanks!

Cylinders like this one?

That's a ferrite bead, which is intended to prevent the cable picking up interference (or causing it). It doesn't affect the way USB works, so yes, you can use the cable.
