USB 1 or 2

My friend has an old computer with a USB port. How can I determine if the port is USB1 or USB2?

Go to the control panel then system then hardware tab then device manager and scroll down and look at the USB controller information. If it says Standard Enhanced USB controller than it is 2.0. If it doesn't it is 1.1 more than likely.

Or, plug something in, and if you have to wait half an hour, you know it is USB 1 !

Crazy thought here, but you could look up the info on the MB (or if you know the MB chipset), you'll have your answer that way too.

Old computer with USB port? My guess is it's USB 3.7...
