os: windows Xp pro SP2

just reformatted my windows and finished all windows updates and installed mb driver

whenever i'd insert my OCZ rally USB flash disk it'd say something like this USb device can run faster if attached to a USb 2.0 port blah blah... any reason to this? it happens with my external hdd also
 
I use to have problems with this as well. Do you have your original motherboard drivers?(in particular the disc). I see a lot of "upgrade to SP2", but honestly I don't see too many people actually have that work.

With my DFI motherboard, I would have to manually go into Device Manager, select the USB port and update the drivers to the USB drivers located on the motherboard disc.
