So they get to look at the cube, then the blindfold goes on? And then they solve it in 12-15 seconds? wow..
 
While the caliber at which these people solve Rubik's Cubes is very impressive, this particular record isn't especially special relative to the other competitors imo, since the starting state is randomly determined by computer. So he might have gotten a state which required a few fewer moves than usual. Theoretically, it is possible for the computer to hand you a completely solved cube, making the theoretical record 0 seconds. Which might explain why he didn't win.
 
He's the guy on Beauty and the Geek. They showed him practicing a couple of times - he has extremely quick hands obviously.

He's my wife's choice to win 🙂

Bah, that's too easy. I want them to put the blindfold on, then let me mix up the cube and hand it to them to figure out. 😛

 
And people around here wonder why others are consistently reposting articles??

Maybe you could help the search function out by actually including, perhaps a tiny HINT, of what the thread will be about in the Topic/Summary. Thats what its far you know.
