I do wish it was more popular here in the states ... I read in news week that hockey fans are some of the youngest and most tech savvy of all the major sports fans.

On a related note, I wish center ice came in HD :\

Does Comcast do any HD NHL stuff? I'd pay $10/month for hockey.

Yep! I actually am one of the few who does really enjoy watching hockey on tv, despite not being a hockey fanatic. However, hockey in HD is amazing.

The best thing about hockey in HD isn't hte extra pixels... it's the 16:9 aspect ratio. Some times cameras are i nthe corners of hte rink, so you get a nice panorama of all the players in the zone. The extra pixels are nice htough :)

And you have to pay EXTRA for digital cable!

I have time warner, I am not familiar with Comcast. I paid 150 for the whole season and playoffs that aren't nationally covered. Normally 170 for the season I got the "early bird" special. So I guess its more like 25-30 bucks a month for hockey. Weird thinking I paid so much and I don't watch it every night, but when it gets later in the season when every game matters it is GREAT!!!

Avs vs Oil in 10 minutes!! That?s gonna be a killer! :D

I think that ESPN will pick up the NHL again soon. No worries for me, though, I'm in Vancouver and Hockey is on TV all the time. :D

Versus's (OLN's) hockey schedule sucks this season, it seems like they have less than half of what they had last year. Here is the schedule if anyone cares.

Been watching LA and Dallas on HD NET.

TONS of fights in glorious Hi-Def. :D

Edit: HD NET's NHL schedule looks like a winner. Link

It's Mark Cuban's HD network. You don't get it? Dude... I live in the middle of Alaska and I get HD NET. Do you live in a former Soviet Bloc country or something?

Depends on your lineup. We have FSN HD in the Bay Area and they show the Sharks games in HD.

hockey seems to have taken a back burner in many people's minds ever since ESPN stopped airing it a lot. I like hockey :(

INHD had the Oilers vs Av's on tonight. Hockey in HD is pretty sexy, especially when the Flyers or Av's win :)

I can't believe how many of you played right into that troll...

anyway, I only get sharks games on foxsports net because I live close to San Jose. Only way I could get my Flyers on tv is to get NHL center ice, but 170 bucks is a bit steep.

Hockey is a great sport to watch. Beats your so called 'football' my miles.
Football : run around for 3 seconds and pile up - comercial break for 30 secs - a new 3 second run and pileup. WTF

Yeah, that's kinda what I meant. I live in the east and now I don't get any of the western (late) games. Probably a good thing, now I won't be late for work as much. ;)

Hockey isn't broken up into short American attention span lengths like football and baseball are. Same with soccer.
