QFT

I think the FSU Seminoles will end up better than 8-5 too.

Texas could go wire to wire this year. while ohio state is *reloading* rather than rebuilding on defense, Texas is loaded with talent and colt mccoy is supposed to be just like major (who should have won a national championship at texas several years ago, fscking chrissy simms :| ), and playing at Texas Memorial, so Texas should win that game. other than that, who is on the schedule? OU won't have a QB and has a questionable O-line. a&m isn't going to be any good and is at Texas Memorial as well. only thing in the schedule that might trip Texas up is a trip to lubbock (they've got two new Qbs as well, but the QB's experience doesn't seem to matter in mike leach's system).

do these ranks ever really hold up through the end?

Nah, injuries and perhaps disciplinary problems will shake up the lineup for some teams etc. In some close games you can have freaks plays or ref errors determine the outcome, sometimes in unexpected ways. Then some teams just "implode", think of Miami init sBowl game last year.

College football is pretty unpredictable.

The championship race is wide open this year. Texas and USC have to reload at quarterback. Notre Dame? The same Irish team that got exposed by Ohio State last year and hasn't won a bowl game since 1993? And Ohio State has a killer schedule. Texas, Penn State, Iowa, Michigan...

As far as schedule goes the team with the easiest path is WVU.
Let's GO, MOUNTAINEERS!! Slaton/White are going to cream the opposition this year, Louisville is the only good team standing in the way of a perfect season.
