so , can you give me the range of American mountain and road bikes(not just one specific bike) in the range of $100-$300 ... ?

or where I could look up such info ?

Sorry but there are none that are worth considering. You will have a tough time getting any decent bike for less than $300, and you will not find any American-made ones.

I know you are not talking about professional ones - no true pro bike is available for less than $2,000, and most are over $3,000 (believe it or not, my mountain bike's frame alone is $2,800 US). Again, no offense but you will not find ANY decent bikes for under $300 - $350 is pretty much the bottom-line price for a decent bike-store bike. Treks are probably the cheapest good American-built bikes.
