Different name, same thing. Reagan called it trickle down Economics. Didn't work then, what makes them think it will work now?

Talk about not learning from History repeating itself

Hmm, so the economic boom of the 90's was because of Clinton's tax increases?

Who said that?

Long before the boom you speak of, people and Leading Economy researchers agreed that Trickle down is pure garbage. Republican, Democrat or any Leaders doesn't matter.

Nothing to see hear . . . look away, look away . . . stock market is on a tear. Our President's exceptional handling of the economy means everyone that invested their unemployment benefits in the stock market has made a tidy sum of money over the past year.

Silly me I thought congress was responsible for the budget but I guess your copy of the constitution is different than mine. ;)

With the Dow now breaking 9000 for the first time in over a year times could be changing...

Unemployment usually tails the recovery or the fall of the economoy as employers are nervous of what might happen.

Plus, with the second tax cut in progress now we could see a nice boost in the economy...

:)

And yet the markets continue to climb....gee....maybe it's because the people that actually KNOW SOMETHING about the economy understand that 6% unemployment is nothing....

Irrational exuberance . . . or in psychiatric parlance . . . there's nothing like an addict chasing that high.

Haven't we proven that the markets really have no relation to the economy as a whole, or to sound economic principles. They are driven by speculation. Speculation is not equal to economic strength.

It means a lot if you are one of the 6%

The problem with the tax cut's is the State and Local Governments are raising taxes faster than the Fed can cut them!

I really dont see what the problem with this is. I would much prefer to see my tax dollars wasted by the state, than by the fed.

No, the economic boom of the 90's was because of George HW Bush (senior) tax increases. He was trying th fix the mistake Reagan made.
