Jani whatwould have Saddam's men done to those thieves? A little shame is much more bearable when you are alive.

Just read this story, AL-J is reporting they opened fire on a group of unarmed citizens who told them to leave a school they were guarding, did not say if it was still full of ammunition or other Iraqi military items. Sounds right, US forces firing blindly at unarmed civilians without cause.....

It's not the troops job to make a good impression, and if they are fired on, I hope they fire back. Nobody can be allowed to fire at our troops and expect no retaliation.

Quite the contrary,

U.S. forces shot back after they came under fire from Iraqis armed with AK-47 assault rifles. from cnn article.

Our troops are making the GOOD impression that if they come under hostile fire, they will shoot back.

The US government had a American solider dress up as an Iraqi and then he playfully shot at our men. Then our men shot back and murdered dozens of Iraqi citizens! Bush wants this to happen so he can eliminate the Iraqi population. So by saying that we got shot at, it makes us look like the victims and that we are only protecting ourselves. But in reality Bush wants to kill every Iraqi man woman and child in Iraq!

I would guess that the troops were just defending themselves. However, there are still questions to be answered:

We'd like the full details (which we may get in a little while)

We'd like to know if the troops knew who was firing at them (could see them)

We'd like to know if they shot the gunmen

We'd like to know who was shot if they weren't the gunmen (there may have been innocents in this) and if so why were they shot (did they look like they had a weapon?)

I guess it will be a couple of weeks at least before this is all known.

Yeah, and look how happy and secure Israelis are. Keep in mind both the Israelis and the US are occupying forces at this moment, you're on their land, you can't expect all of them to be happy about that.

it'll be good once the u.s. can leave iraq once things are in order or things like this will keep happening.

that's the catch-22 that the u.s. is in, they could easily stop all this from happening by not letting iraqis protest and keeping them indoors until more order is created, but they want to look good and are letting them protest, when it's not the prudent thing right now to do so!

all those war wackos have been wetting themselves for weeks cheering the fact that iraqis can now protest, but it's not in their best interests or safety right now. you also see those war wackos cheering the fact that iraqis are looting and plundering not just old regime buildings but hospitals, schools, etc. saying its rightfully theirs. to me, those wackos arent really cheering for the best interests of the iraqi people, but more for their own enjoyment.

First off... i gotta say its nice to come the AT forums and read posts from people who know what they are talking about and know the BS from the truth. I get so tired of news posting biased against the US. The protest shooting was absolutely a set up, and the use of children just shows how underhanded and dirty the militant islamic groups want to play. 'Oh no they shot everyone unprovoked'... crap! Just because the US is in uniforms and carries guns in the open its easy to say we are shooting, but when they come into these crowds with concealed weapons and are dressed as civilians... uh yeah, someone not trained to see it is gonna miss the fact that bullets are going both ways.

Just wait, i'm sure in a week or so France will come out and say... "We believe the US is too extreme and should hasten their exit from Iraq'... omg what is wrong with you france!!! get your stninky schnoz out of business you are not capable of dealing with. The US is not going to let Iraq become another Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Afghanistan... period, its not the 70s or 80s... we aren't doing anymore more double dealing, we want to clean up the middle east's mess so our country will be safe and secure from a threat. If the groups instigating the US hate propaganda won't listen to the US's words, they are gonna have to answer to our guns... thats just the only way the region will stop its cycle, the people are not as educated as they need to be to handle this overthrow and are being manipulated but the militant groups to think that the US is bad... just look at how easily Pro-Lifers here in the states do it, they take ignorant people hit them up with propoganda and send them out to harras and kill people just trying to live... same thing here in Iraq.
