Yup.

Great win for the US though. The finally played with some damn intensity. The US defense was pretty exceptional...it's a pity they can't maintain possession! What a game :)

Didn't USA get their butts whooped by brazil recently? (as expected of course)

To play them in the finals would be nothing less than surreal. That would be like South Korea taking out the USA...in basketball!

The final could still be South Africa - USA. Now who would have guessed that :D.

Usually upsets come from luck, but USA certainly deserved this one. Played (and especially defended) superbly and Spain just played badly.

They played Brazil in their group and lost 3-0. However...that was honestly a different team. The form shown by the US in the past 2 games has been a complete turn around for the team. Especially after this last game, I think the US has a fighting chance. With that said, I expect Brazil to beat South Africa and I see them winning the whole cup. The US will have to be ready for more quick and decisive movements from a speedy Brazilian side. If they can maintain their defensive edge like they did with Spain, we can expect great things.

Where did this amazing US team come from? I can't believe that they broke Spain's 15 game winning streak! Now just need lighting to strike twice to have a ludicrous final game against South Africa!!

You mean 15-game winning streak/35-game unbeaten streak!

They haven't been beaten in 2 1/2 YEARS (early 2007/late 2006).

...

and they got destr0y3d by teh USA.... 2-0.

Damn, I would have liked to have seen that. I was in Portugal last year when Spain won the Euro Cup having just come from Madrid a few days earlier...the energy was amazing.
