It has been confirmed by the Pentagon that US forces in Iraq will use the latest high tech weapon, which until now was an ultra-secret weapon in development.

Although still in its experimental stage, the high powered microwave device, will be launched on a cruise missile, and aimed at Saddams bio and chemical weapons sites.

When the missile hits, it wont blow everything to bits, but rather it will cause a short circuit and leave weapons guidance systems un usable and useless. It will unleash up to 2 billion watts of power on any electronics with in 1000 feet.

Would this thing be safe near humans? Looking at the specs, it seems like it would either toast or electricute a human near it. Also, getting back to electrical equipment for a second; if something is EMP'd, how do you salvage it? It would seem that it would be "destroyed" either way.

all im saying is that its probably a lot safer near humans than a traditional bomb.
