Post above has other links and various Anandtech member opinions (no surprise there, eh?) on the products.

My Wal-Mart in So. Central PA had the USR Router on clearance for $50 and the PCMCIA NIC for $30. The rebates posted below are from USR and do not have any store affiliation so I expect to get the rebates without problem.

Cost will be:
US Robotics Wireless Router: $50+$3 tax + $0.50 (stamp/envelope) = $53.50 - $20 MIR = $33.50
Wireless laptop PCMCIA card: $30 + $1.80 +$0.50 = $32.30 - $20 MIR = $12.30

As with all Wally-World clearances, it is definitely a hit or miss affair depending on local "customs".

Checked my local walmart... the router was on clearance for 78, and the card for 54

Picked up this card from the above referenced eCost thread for $19.35 after rebate. Has functioned flawlessly, and has excellent range. Used in connection with Dlink 614+ and Linksys WRT54G.

Nice find for the aforementioned $12.30 price, if can be found.

EektheCat - No bargain there. There is no "Wal-Mart Clearance Policy" as far I can tell - every Wal-Mart seems to decide themselves on how & when to price clearances. I rarely post Wal-Mart bargains for that reason but this one seemed to good to just let pass.

Looks that way. From the www.usr.com website:

The only USR product my local Walmart had was 2, V.92 Modems.
CUSA only had their V.92 modem as well.
Staples maybe had USR's V.92 modem or nothing.

From what I've read on AT, each Walmart determines it's own clearance prices. It's a big YMMV but I've read of many who had no luck.

I found this same deal tonight at my local Walmart in Franklin Mills (Philadelphia). I can't believe it's been posted already. You guys and gals are good! From everything I've read this is a pretty good wireless router, can't beat it for $30 too. Now if I can only find the wireless card.......
