It would be much cooler if the news article said he gifted games on Steam. Like...Skyrim, or for indie type games something like Orcs Must Die.

Hmm, where to start with this...

Gamers in the family? How do you know? At best all you can say is he purchased games. They could have been for anyone. Of course, maybe there are some gamers in his family. So the f@ck what.

Does anyone actually think it is a good idea for the President to be wasting his time Christmas shopping? It would seem far less time consuming and less expensive (i.e. security) for him to shop online or at least find what he wanted to get online and then send a staffer out for the actual purchase. He does have things to do does he not?

Wow, you mean the president is an actual human being with actual human beings in his family?

You're acting like he's not allowed to have downtime and be a normal person.

Normal persons are not muslims or want to send old people to gas chambers.
excuse me
umm dude while i am not of any faith or know any muslims (very well any way) i still think thats a very offensive and biased position to take. its stereotyping and offensive on so many levels.
id also like to point out that its not like white people are any better.. newt Gingrich believes in child labor being legalized in america, yeah wasnt that idea considered tolerable prior to the industrial revolution??

So, you expect a man with his finger on the nuclear button to sink 50 hours into Skyrim? And perhaps teabag a few people in the latest Call of Wanker?

He's had plenty of time to play golf, so why not. He played more golf in two years than Bush did in eight.

And Bush took like three times the vacation days, so I guess they are even.

He is on vacation all the time, why not?

Right, the amount of time someone spends on vacation is an indicator of how good a job they're doing.

Point is, he's a family guy in a job with some fairly big responsibilities. You may want to ding him for many things, but for not being a hardcore gamer? Seriously?

Well you could see where this thread was heading from a mile away.

You're acting like he's not allowed to have downtime and be a normal person.

Look at it like this: The man has to be in charge of the country and the free world for 4 years, 8 if he's lucky. After that if he chooses he's set for life. He can retire on our dime and never have to work again. So when you act like he's a normal person with a normal family I tell you no, he's not. He chose the life he's lead his family into, he doesn't need people defending him like it's somehow unfair. The easy answer would be to impose limits to the amount of vacation the president can have.
