I don't see how this is surprising at all... as technology evolves, we evolve new ways to fight. That's how it's always been, and that's how it will always be.

That article also does a good job of making well known aspects of our military seem "new" and "shocking"

It seems pretty far fetched. He doesn't quote anything nor does he name sources for his information. It seems more like speculation...

In anycase, the US government can't control the Internet by conventional means. They will have to go through litterally millions of websites and just do a bunch of crap that just won't work. Not only that, but they will need to override strong encryption such as AES 256bit and RSA 2048 bit encryption. That is nearly impossible to decrypt and monitor everyday for over several million people.

Damn my light bulb just blew out ... must be Bush's fault!
What's funny is no one is this thread or the article said anything about Bush until you two came along.

So what, every thread in here eventually ends up at a Bush bashing point no matter what the topic is

Like her209 said, nobody even mentioned Bush until Cron and Pabster decided to respond in a sarcastic manner to something nobody was talking about. Oh yes, and then you chimed in. So except for that last post by starwars7, all the Bush talk was from your side of things. Damn those liberals!

As to the topic, this doesn't seem all that crazy to me. Conflicts require plans to deal with all aspects of that conflict. The net is a big part of the world, why would a military conflict ignore it?

Through all the whining about how I was the first to bring up Bush.......starwars7 did an excellent job of proving my point for me. All I did was beat the liberati to the punchline, instead giving them something else to whine about. It's all about nuance........

If it weren't so easy and amusing, I'd expect to get paid to do this..........

So you WEREN'T the first one to bring Bush into the argument? Well that's a relief...

Edit: And ease and amusement aside, it's unfair that you DON'T get paid for this. However, in the spirit of fairness, I think I should get paid for having to read that crap. Just buy me a house and we'll call it even.
