US Open, Capriati vs Serena

but, is it me or has capriati put on some real weight.

mb it's because i haven't watched much tennis (mens or womens) since the days of Graf, Seles and when capriati was still pretty young.

she is moving really really well tho.

i think capriati is the only woman on the tour that can consistently match up with serena. well other than venus of course.

Capriati is really buff now.

Serena is making way too many errors.

i'd say some of the credit goes to capriati getting a lot of balls back to her. i don't think serena is used to having so many of her power shots returned to her.

well the points are pretty amazing, usually a pretty damn good shot is the cause of the error.

but what the hell was up with that first bad call?

Wow. There were plenty of bad calls in the match. Too bad for Serena. They need to change the line judges and ump before Roddick's match.

personally, i think capriati lied when she said she didn't see that one ball which was several inches in.
and just made some b.s. excuse on how it didn't matter b/c she won the game anyway, obviously it affected serena..

what happened the days of edberg when he would speak up about a call.

I really hope it was an accident when she said that Serena won that game cuz she didn't. In any case, Serena should have called out the ref for that point. I think she lied too but she was really put on the spot with that question.

Yeah good match... 'cept, last time i checked, isn't tennis an individual sport?

tonight it was the ump & Capriati vs. Serena

Wha? Sometime in the mid second set she had 22 forehand errors compared to cap's 8. Ump nothing she just wasn't on her game at all and Cap blew it up.
