What portions of Levi Strauss remain in the US? Corporate management? Since the bulk of Levi's operations are now overseas, IMO it's no longer an American company and should no longer be able to take advantage of tax breaks offered to corporations. US taxpayers should not subsidize companies whose operations lie elsewhere.

Levis is now just a marketing company. At least carhardts are made in the USA I think.

Levis 560's are the only jeans I wear. They just fit better than any I've ever worn.

:p

But, I swear I'm going to stop wearing jeans. Is there a brand that doesn't start tearing at the corner of the back pockets after 3 months??

Levis is supposedly very very in demand over seas. While USA doesn't think anything special about them, I heard that in places like Korea and China, they're going for roughly $100 per jeans.

That's why Levi's used to put rivets on the back pockets, too. 'Course, they scratched up everything you sat on.

I went to Urban Oufitters yesterday and they had pairs of Levis selling for $250 and $500. They had the roughed up vintage look.
