US History Research Paper Topic

6-8 Pages I need a topic for tomorrow. It's a research paper, you come up with a thesis and research/support it, the standard. It can be on anything in US History, but can't be too broad, for instance America's involvement in the Vietnam war would be bad but the massacre of some village would be a good topic. I'm thinking the stock market crash of 1929 but I'm not too sure, I do like stocks.

What do u guys think?

how about you write my History 101 Final Paper for me:
You are to write an analytical essay assessing the role and significance of long distance trade and cross-cultural contact in shaping the world of 1000-1500, versus the role of the internal development of individual civilizations. What role did trade and cross-cultural contact play in shaping the world of 1500 compared to that of 1000? What difference did it make to the lives of everyday people living in different civilizations? That is, what was the balance between cross cultural contact on the one hand, and the internal economic activities, political structures, and belief patterns of individual civilizations on the other, in influencing the lives of people and the direction of global development?

ehh we've already talked about that in class, since it can be any topic in history i think it'd be more fun to do something we haven't done yet

How about... the assination of Lincoln and it's affect on the South?

Interesting the person the South considered their mortal enemy was probably their greatest sympathizer from the North.

Might be too assumption based but if it reamins analytical and uses lots of evidence to support claims I think it would make an interesting argumentative essay.

Since you like the stock market. Do a history of the American stock market up to 1860.
Why was it called Wall St.? I've read a brief history of it on line.

The first transcontinental railroad has many areas to explore, the Irish, the Chinese,
the Mormons & investors.

Jefferson Davis was the Secretary of Defence under Buchanon. What did he do prior to the out break of hostilities that benifited the reble cause.

The War of 1812 let the British know that we are an independent nation. If not over looked, its an often discounted piece of our history.

Do shay's rebellion - always a fun one.

Or write about some oddities that have happened in congress - i remember someone in the 1800's got whupped with a cane by another senator.
