US Generals deny authorising interrogation techniques such as sleep deprivation, stress positions or sensory deprivati

First off shouldnt these guys be in iraq?? generals testifying in teh US dont seem very usefull... i also think this has been dragged on way too long, 6 out of the 7 accused already have charges against them, and one just pled guilty today. They are taking care of it give it a rest.

Oh sure. Let's just ignore how high up this went (Rumsfeld, Rice, Bush) and just fry a few people way down on the food chain and let the administration go unpunished.

i hate to break this to you but supirior officers NEVER get in trouble for anything in the military thats how is has always been.
Aside from that i dont belive it went that high up.

I believe it was high up, but i don't believe that the true story will ever be told, it rarely is.

Actually, before this war, stories like these were left untold, that did not mean they did not happen.

I hate to be a "I told you so" but what can anyone expect.

We are talking about a group of people whom think that they are, and they in fact are, above the law.

If that law were to pass so much as its shadow over anyone of us in this forum we would be carted off in a wagon to a federal prison for many years.

Them?

At the very very worst some mid level officer will take the fall for everyone else and when he gets out he/she will be either suicided, have an accident a few years later or rewarded for his/her loyalty.

Those actually responsible are immune.

Short of watching them on live TV, in front of about 30 million viewers, attaching a car battery to some poor bastard's nuts and turning it on we will never see them found guilty of anything.

Even if they are, by some miracle, it will be at the very very worst a slap on the wrist and back to work get serviced by one of many White House interns. =p
