But that's the beauty of the free market; if Houston didn't have a use for the crude, private companies would not be sending it there. Absent government action, the free market will determine the best ways to distribute the oil, with government properly limited to making sure that distribution is done in accordance with acceptable levels of safety and environmental protection.Yeah, to where Cushing, OK? Sorry Cushing has so much crude they are reversing the pipeline to send it back to the coast. No more storage room.
Presumably most of the gasoline exports are from Houston and the Gulf Coast since Mexico and Latin/South America are the biggest recipients.
It would seem that Houston has plenty of crude also.
