It was our own local right wing talk radio morning DJ on AM1130. So I don't have it in writing, I just heard him say it. I presume all conservatives walk in lockstep....

I'd bet the Neocons are salivating over this. I don't doubt that.

Still, I'd like to know the Congressmen and Senators with whom I disagree. Keeps me from voting for them.

Iraq was a foolish endeavor. Bush and his kindler gentler war just did not work. It was a complete waste of money and the blood of our soldiers.

This was a war that congress voted for.

Well, except for the 23 senators (21 Dems, 1 Repub, 1 Indie) and 133 House members (126 Dems, 6 Repubs, and 1 Indie) who didn't.

I'm sure those numbers would have been higher if Cheney and Co. hadn't gone to such lengths to advance their views while suppressing dissenting opinions and evidence that ran contrary to their agenda. It was definitely a complete waste of money and blood, but don't forget it played to AQ's goals like they were reading Osama's wishlist: destroying global goodwill towards the US and emptying our coffers while bolstering the ranks of the enemy.

Cheney, Rumsfeld and Bush deserve to rot in a prison for what they've done to America and hundreds of thousands of American families, not to mention innocent civilians caught in the mix during their grand adventure. I think 2000-2008 has gone down as a text book example of why selecting puppet presidents who function mainly as announcers and signature providers is a horrible idea, and not just regarding foreign policy either.

The ISIL term really needs to gain favor with the media. Every time I hear ISIS on the radio, I have an Archer moment. "Danger ZOOOOOONE!"

It isn't that ISIS took the city. I doubt the "US Funded Al Queda" part of the headline.

Ah, sorry, misunderstood. In fact, the WaPo article points out that Al Queda (whoever that's supposed to be depending on the month of the year) had actually disowned ISIS.

"A rebranded version of the al-Qaeda in Iraq organization that the U.S. military said it had quelled before withdrawing its forces in 2011, ISIS has been expanding its reach for months in Iraq and in Syria in pursuit of its goal of creating an Islamic state. Al-Qaeda disowned the group this year, in part because al-Qaeda’s leadership considers its methods too harsh, but the two organizations share essentially the same goals and ideology."

it's clear to anyone that we never should have gotten involved in Iraq to begin with.

but I'm glad we cut our loses and got out of there rather than spending generations supporting their government with our blood and treasure.

No one cares about Iraq. Been there done that.
No one NO ONE, no president no American political party and especially not John McCain can change the corse in this violent third world country.
Good for Obama if he sends in drones and planes, but that's it.
NO ONE wants another 3000 American soldiers dead for another lost cause.
Bush couldn't do it. Cheney couldn't do it. And thank God McCain will never get the chance thinking he can do it.

Americans are not onboard with another American conflict in Iraq.
And sad as it may sound, having lost 3000 troups does not justify losing 3000 more.
Especially when after another 3000 dead service men and women and another trillion dollars spent, today's reoccurance could easily happen again at any time in the future.
We can't control the world. We can't afford to try.
Vietnam as well as the Middle East has proven just that.
Americans are not interested in another Iraq conflict.
So give it up. Nada going to happen.
Americans absolutely made the right decision electing then re electing Obama.
Too bad so many Americans are too narrow minded and short sighted to realize that.
It could be so much worse. Terminally worse. John McCain Mitt Romney worse.

"... the influence of the religion paralyses the social development of those who follow it. No stronger retrograde force exists in the world. Far from being moribund, Mohammedanism is a militant and proselytizing faith..."

Kurdish troops are taking control Kirkuk after government troops abandoned their posts to head South.

the Middle East really needs to have their national borders redrawn, and maybe this is a way of going about it... they've been sandwiched into uncomfortable boundaries ever since Britain and France redraw the map at random following the fall of the Ottoman Empire.

It is inevitable that Iraq will devolve into civil war and eventually the nation will split into three separate nations. A long series of civil wars will be fought in the middle east and by the end, all the national borders will be redrawn. Decades of strife lie ahead. I don't see those idiot neocons didn't realize this. However, I do understand how Bush never foresaw this since he is just a simpleton.

Hmmm, an RT recap of the situation. I'm sure it will be completely free from inaccuracies.

RT has a strategic advantage to tell the truth that hurts the hijacked washington establishment. Doesn't mean Russia is perfect, but Putin goes to church and thinks about what moves to do in the verge of a thermonuclear war, while the idiot obozo goes on holidays for 3 weeks. In russia they pay people to have children, in USA they feed you GMOs like cattle so your kids's kids will be sterile.

What happened in Europe, Georgia in 2008 - NATO and EU/US/UN/UK/NWO through Georgia attacked the Russian base on Russian territory - Russia sent their army in to return favor. Georgia then sent it's army up. But that was enough for Putin so he told NATO that he has ICBMs targeting all major EU government institutions and will fire in 1 hour if NATO doesn't back down, so NATO fumbled and that was it. But NATO was built as a New World Order security force, it will never stop poking at Russia which is opposing GMOs and other anti-human totalitarian globalist crap.

Communism was brought to Russia, it didn't start there. Communism like Nazism has been constucted by the English Empire, for social control of the cattle population, and to play groups of the same against each other, to make it seem like 2 different sides are fighting, while they're killing their own, all because of ignorance and perception, the power of information presented at it's worst.

So, what benefit would having people's grandchildren be sterile be? Who gains from that?

You should look up why Russia has to pay women to have children, I know it will require reading from websites where people use long words and isn't written for people with a 2nd grade reading level though.

Forgive me if this is a stupid, uneducated, or misguided question, but was Sadam Hussein really the glue that held Iraq together?

Looks like the old Cold War days 30 years ago, I still have some unclassified picks around here somewhere of VMFA-232 F-4s trailing a Bear.

They do carry Nukes, those probably weren't.

Old Russian version of a B-52.
