US Foreign Policies - very badly need some help

i'm doing a debate in my English class on US foreign affairs and i'm on the affirmative side (for sending troops to other countries for example) and i can't find any information about it that is worth using

i could use some websites, quotes, opinions, anything that might help me win the debate

a few people in my group are failing and this is the last chance for them to receive credit for the year so they really need to do well on this

if you have access to jstor:
"The politics and ethics of military intervention"
by stanley hoffman
survival vol 37 #4
pg 29-51

conflicts after the cold war: realism, liberalism, and U.S. interests
by joseph s. nye jr.
don't know the journal, though, reprinted in the future of american foreign policy, ed. wittkopf and jones
