The STI doesn't even come with a damn radio. Drivers in a comparison preferred the Evo8 over the STI though. Too sleepy to find link now, maybe someone else will provide.

Yes, the wires are there even if you don't pay for any stereo option. Subaru is assuming that people who buy the STi will either be enthusiasts who would prefer to install an aftermarket system or racers who are headed straight for the track/course and don't want a stereo.Originally posted by: Kelvrick
I didn't know about the prewiring. I was reading it waiting for a haircut and though that you'd have to do everything yourself such as finding spots for your speakers and wiring it yourself. The sti page says there is an option for a stereo system, but are the wires there even if you don't pay for the stereo option?
