Yeah, I actually have a big problem with that too. That story about the Pakistanis pissing away our huge donation of war money on kickbacks, bribes, and anti-Indian efforts made my blood boil. Particularly as during those early heady days of WoT, Musharraf's regime pissed and moaned they weren't getting the support they needed. I'd have to hear of some huge, meaningful breakthroughs and concessions wrt Pakistan to consider that anything but another costly mistake.

That's true unfortunately. The corruption in Pakistan is unbelievable, makes Russia look tame by comparison. It's like the Cheney admin didn't even try to act concerned about what they were giving away. Not unlike the after party for Operation Iraqi Freedom. Pakistan has lost warfighters helping us, true enough, but that doesn't erase the feeling of having an ally fvck us like that. We shouldn't be discussing more payments of money, we should be discussing our balance and how it will be worked off.

So kissing up to homicidal Muslims and towing the pro-oil script is "impartial?" Obama treats Israel like its an enemy, and treats enemies like historic allies. Not what I consider a "mediator." Please, America is not a victim to Israel's existence. Israel has contributed more to American defense than all NATO allies combined. It has compromised its own security to appease our leaders. And for that I am grateful.
