Also was reposted by Dealmonkey too! 😉

OMFG it's a callout! 😛

Did I do something wrong? Just pointing out. Sorry if I did something wrong? 😕

😱

I was just teasin' ya. All this neo-conservative blatant hypocrisy has got me giddy.

There is no hypocrisy, but I do hope you now will admit the oil-for-fools scam was a huge blunder by the UN.
But anyway - I have this hunch that you are just giddy because you can now blame America... just a hunch...

Nope. Blaming America isn't really that interesting. What's funny is for months you guys have been droning on about the shame of the scandal and it turns out we were complicit-- oops. I guess the US blundered too. THe fun is seeing how you will "weasel" out...

A blunder by the UN? Excuse me? You mean by America? I can excuse your mistake considering neither FNC or NewsMax.com have any sort of "counter propoganda" in place to deal with this obvious crisis of ideology.

Uh, no - the oil-for-fools program was a UN program. Nice try though. You can blame America all you want - but it was the UN's program that failed. Does that mean I ignore what we did? Absolutely not - but it is awful interesting to see you leftist now jumping for joy, high-fiving each other, and giving each other reach arounds over this.
But hey, whatever works.

The jumping around is over the blatant hypocrisy and weaseling, not the American involvement. Nice attack on motives though.

And is it fair to blame the UN for failures when its members are causing the failure? Why don't I knife someone's tires and then blame them for being late to work.

No, just like I said in the PM info - I take all of it seriously but it's the UN's program that failed. This isn't the first info that has come out about American's involvement in this scam so I'm not sure what you think you are proving to us that have been keeping tabs on the progress of the investigations. But anyway - good to see you are on-board now since you can blame America too.

Nice of you to so quickly blame the UN over the past year for this scandal when the entire time the U.S. was complicit. I guess that shows your ideological bent pretty clearly. Don't bother spinning it Cad, you're coming through clear as a bell. Don't bother asking yourself why the U.N. program failed, and certainly don't bother holding the U.S. responsible for the failure. It's quite clear where you stand on all of this.

No, there is not blatant hypocrisy and weaseling except for you who are now joining the condemnation of the program's handling. But I am willing to overlook your lack of respect for the investigations in the past now that you are on-board.🙂 Please do keep in mind though that this was a UN program and there are many things at play here - not just us.
Your analogy is flawed. The UN sat back and watched the slashing - and did nothing. Infact it seems it, itself was complicit in it. For you to even insinuate that the US is solely responsible for this "tire slashing" is asinine - but not surprising.

 here's to hoping you'll continue to support the investigation into this program no matter who is found to involved. (again, we'll overlook the lack of support so far - better late than never)😀

 You obviously didn't read what I've posted. But hey, you can continue to ASSUME my position instead of reading what it is.

Like info - I hope you too can join us in support of the investigation of this UN oil-for-fools scandal.

Remember people! It's a UN program (subtext: the UN is STILL teh evil) ... the UN sat back ... the UN was complicit. Cad's clearly part of the "Blame America LAST" theory of spin. Whatever happened to taking responsibility?

What's this on-board thing? I've been following your silly weasel thread for a long time and pointing out the agenda the wacko right has. Investigations aren't bad, it's the silly attacks on the UN involving "weasel" and "oil-for-fools" that were silly. The right's attempt to disqualify the UN as an institution for a scandal was laughable when everyone knows scandals happen everywhere, including the US. It's even more laughable now that the US directly involved. I don't know why you don't seem to understand that the UN is a multinational organization in which the US has a huge role.

You know CAD is reeling when he fogets to uncapitalize the "UME" in "ASSume".

Who said I wasn't? That's right - you and info ASSUME that's my position when it clearly is not.

Frankly, I'd be happy if Cad blamed the UN and the US equally for the failure of the Iraq Oil-for-Food program. It takes a big man to own up to his country's mistakes and misteps. It's quite clear from his commentary thus far, that he's still pointing his finger at the UN and going "But, but, but..."

Hey Cad: Remember too that you can blame Clinton in part of this! After all, his administration turned a blind eye first! Bush just continued more of the same. That should be a consolation prize for ya. 😀

Taken from the UN-is-evil thread

True - it's interesting to see the level(nonexistent) of outrage over this by the leftists. Their almighty UN is corrupt and yet some still whine about how we should have given the UN more time to work and that Saddam was "contained". Well sure he was contained - getting rich due to the corruption of the UN. How nice...

CkG

Wow, it looks like our almighty US is corrupt and yet still they whine about how the UN is evil. Well looks like Saddam was contained. Getting rich off of US corruption. How nice...

The "agenda" is to investigate the SCAM. The SCAM that no one did anything about. If the UN puts a program in place -they better make sure it doesn't get turned into a SCAM like this. Does it look like our gov't allowed some things to happen contrary to the sanctions? Sure - I never said it didn't.
If the UN wants to be this International organization that does more than debate - it damn well better keep tabs on the things they put in place. This UN oil-for-fools scam is one such example of their ineptitude.

So you aren't on-board?

See? You blame the UN THREE times! And the U.S. ... hmmm, where is it that you blame the U.S. again? I'm not seeing it! Did I miss it someplace?

Of course the UN Security Council put the Iraq oil-for-food program into place to begin with. Who are the members of the security council again? Hmmmm?
