The European Union is also seeking to implement similar quotas against China.

US trying to lobby the chinese to appreciate their currency...

we are at the eve of huge trade deficit.... bad for the long run

It's about time. I wouldn't mind a bit paying more for clothes if that meant 1000 people would get to keep their jobs.

I can't agree with this at all.... We are meddling in things that don't need to be meddled with.

Either the industry(textile, in this case) adapts to the changing consumer landscape, or they don't and they die.

The innovators will survive, just as they always have, and just how it's supposed to be...
